ADJUSTMENT OF THE PROCESS
Due to recent information re the introduction of TRACES (Trade Control and Expert System), the future electronic system of flow of goods of the Council Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and the Swiss Ordinance on Organic Farming (SR 910.18), the process in the SCM for imports from non-EU countries has been changed. This process is fully independent from the one for the Certificate of inspection, which has to be submitted to the inspection body to the attention of the legislator. Thus, both the SCM-process for EU countries and for non-EU countries are identical.
--> To the process
In order to improve the security of traceability control measures and guarantee procedural efficiency, Bio Suisse will soon start using an electronic system called the "Bio Suisse Supply Chain Monitor” to monitor and control the supply chain.
As of 1 March 2017, Bio Suisse certificates of inspection will be replaced by the Bio Suisse Supply Chain Monitor (SCM). In future, for all Bio Suisse imports into Switzerland, both the exporter (the last owner of products from outside of Switzerland) and the importer must enter data on the supply chain of their products into the Bio Suisse Supply Chain Monitor.
In the following sections you will find all pertinent information and instructions for working with the Bio Suisse Supply Chain Monitor.
