MORE THAN 100 MILLION KILOS OF BUD-LABELLED MILK ON THE MARKET



According to the yearly Bio Suisse analysis of the milk market, there will be 100 million Bud-full-cream milk at the disposal of the market in 1999/2000.
90% of it will probably be processed into Bud-products.

CHEESE AND PASTEURIZED MILK ARE THE TOP SELLERS

Amongst the processed food stuff, cheese (36 million kilos) and pasteurized milk (29 million kilos) will be in the lead. Besides this the demand for quark and cottage cheese has increased and will require 11 millions kilos of raw organic milk.

Yoghourt as well shows a slight growing tendency, whereas butter will probably remain on the level of the previous year with around 8.2 millions of kilos.

About 90% of all processed Bud-milk appears under the Bud-label or under the M-Bio label on the market.
